Recently I’ve been loving anything that has a bit of preppy thrown in with a twist (think ikat, chevron, zebra, leopard!) which is why I love Melanie of Luxury Monograms new line of pillows, placemats, napkins, and bags. Take a peek…
These are definitely not your grandmothers monograms as you can see!
For more information on how to get your own personalized monogram on a product check out Luxury Monograms. Did I mention, the above photos were styled by Ashlina of The Decorista. Love love!
Yesterday was the first Kimberly Lewis Home photo shoot! I was very lucky to have two amazing and talented friends on set to make this all happen.
Behind the camera was Adam Au, who is a photographer for the NYSE and also works as a freelance photographer in NYC. My friend Rachel Levin also stopped by to help shoot photos and video of the behind the scenes action.
I can’t wait to share with reveal the website with everyone! I am planning on launching it this weekend so stay tuned! 🙂
Are we connected yet? Lets be friend facebook & twitter & RSS as well!
This Graham and Brown Royal Wedding inspired wallpaper has already made its way around blogland but I’d thought I’d share because it really does put a smile on my face. Who doesn’t love a touch of whimsy?
Add a touch of glam with their jewel stickers as well. Maybe not for everyone but I think that this would be adorable in a little girls room
I spent my night I pulling together some props around my apartment for the first Kimberly Lewis Home photo shoot that is coming up on Sunday. I still have a a few things to purchase but am very excited to get these photos wrapped up and on my website. It is on Sunday so yes it is an Easter photo shoot!

The Famed Domino Magazine lucite table from This Paris Apartment
Did you know that this year is Lucite’s 75th Birthday? Its true! Core77 says:
First brought to market as Plexiglas in 1933, the synthetic polymer will turn 75 in just a few months. To celebrate, Lucite International and Material ConneXion are holding a Lucite exhibition in NYC this Spring.
Lucite will showcase the winning prototypes from its Carry Me! handbag design competition along with a rare collection of vintage handbags that inspired the competition. The exhibit will also include a series of current product applications, which demonstrate the versatility of Lucite® and its use in a wide range of industries — from architecture and furnishings to industrial design and retail merchandising.
I’ve been on a lucite kick recently. I’ve always liked the look but never owned any. It all started when I found a pair of lucite lamps at my local goodwill and my obsession of acquiring a lucite piece of furniture spun out of control. I’ve been searching for the perfect coffee table and everything I was finding and liking seemed too big and visually heavy. I remembered seeing the CB2 Peekaboo nesting tables and I knew that I had to get them. I always check craigslist first before buying certain things full price and it just so happened that someone was selling their cb2 nesting tables that were only 3 months old and in perfect condition for a deal. Perfect! Of course I snagged them and they now live in my living room (see here)
I think that my lucite buying spree is over for the timebeing but I’m still on the lookout for inspiring interiors that incorporate it. I think that it should be used sparingly and can work with a variety of different furniture styles and textures.

All has been quiet on the blog but this is not the case over at Casa Kimberly Lewis. I am slowly but steadily checking things off of my to-do list. Timing is a bit tight with the show coming up May 14th but so far it looks like I am on track. I have been planning a photo shoot and spent today after work concepting some shots. I am also working on the website, ICFF booth design, and well if I showed you my entire to do list you would probably gasp in horror! I have to wear all of the hats around here and it can be challenging juggling them and a fulltime job but I am somehow making it work!
The above photo shows the four patterns that I will be in my booth at ICFF. Each comes in two colorways each. Stay tuned over at KimberlyLewisHome.com for more info and the other colorways! 😉

It seems that this talented lady always has something up her sleeve! This time she and some other very talented ladies have produced a beautiful line of souvenirs celebrating the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton that is going to take place soon!
They are available for pre-order on etsy. If you are lucking enough to be in London the weekend of the wedding they will there selling them on Portobello Road. How adorable are they? A must for any royal family admirer!
