Iconic Women in Design: Florence Broadhurst

Has anyone seen Unfolding Florence: The colourful life of Florence Broadhurst ?? I was searching for a Florence Bradhurst pattern the other day and stumbled across it.

Florence was a ground breaking wallpaper and textile designer. She was known for constantly reinventing herself and in her lifetime was a musical comedy star, ran a trucking company, couturier, and painter. Florence began her most prolific occupation of her career when she was 60! That was when she became a wallpaper designer. Unfortunately she is also very well known today for her brutal unsolved murder in 1977.

I’m quite a fan of hers and if you haven’t read Florence Broadhurst: Her Secret & Extraordinary Lives go out and get it asap! The thought of a movie depicting her life seems fascinating since she was a rather eccentric and brilliant woman!
