Local Design

I love meeting other local designers that are based in NYC.  Over the weekend I attended the ClaySpace 1205 Holiday Market and not only got to take a peek into their 3,000 sq foot ceramic studio but also see some of the talented designers that are using their facilities.  Here are some of my favorite pieces that I saw.

Vita Vase - Set of 4

Banana Salt and Pepper Shaker

Michiko Shimada is a friend of one of my coworkers who I have met before but I had never seen her work in person, and I was really impressed! Michiko really has an eye for form and detail and it shows in all of her pieces. Above are her Vita Vases and they are available to purchase here and her Banana Salt and Pepper shakers.

Porcelain Drop Lamp - Scallop

Megumi Yoshida of mgmy studio creates beautiful porcelain lamps. I can totally imagine these  hanging over a dining room table,  extremely chic! You can buy the scalloped version here.
